Fashion Test

You don't pay too much attention to fashion and far be it from you to spend hours on designing outfits which could shock your friends. If you ever shock them it's by how little you care about the clothes you're wearing. The only thing you pay attention to is not to look ridiculo. You don't need to draw attention wherever you come but you definitely need to know you are not the object of jokes. You are happy to blend in. I'm sure this approach leaves you a lot of time and energy for more interesting things than fashion. 

This is the result of my test. I quite agree with the result of this test, because I recognize that  I don't pay much attention to fashion. Simply I look for clothes that I feel comfortable with, neither too flashy or too simple. With I don't try to impress anyone, if I want to impress someone I do it with my personality. I try mot to draw attention because I'm shy and feel uncomfortable when some is looking at me. 

The results say I am happy and I think is true as the results show. I take more time and energy with doing my hobbies than worring about fashion.

Tres Metros Sobre el Cielo

"Tres metros sobre el cielo" is a book of Federico Moccia. This book tells the love story between Babi and Stef. Babi is a young girl. She is studing in secondary schooland she is a very good student. Stef instead, is only interested about motorbikes and velocity. They belong to different worlds, they like different things but they have something in common, the love that they feel for one to the other. 

Babi is a middle class girl who knows Stef, a guy that is always in trouble and has passion for the illegal motorbike raicing. Babi dooesn't want to know nothing about him, but finally, she falls for him. Babi has some problems with her parents because they don't want that Babi  goes out with Stef.

Nikki Sixx memorir Herois Diaries

Mothley Crue went to the radio to talk about the book to be published about the lives of Nikki Sixx. This book talks about all the problems, adicitons about Nikki with Heroin and Cocaine. When the book was published, a year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, the Heavy metal band Motley Crue have sold more than 80 million albums worldwide titled The Heroin Diaries Soundtrackit featured collaborations with vocalist James Michael and Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba.

Each track of the CD was a month of Nikki's live. All  the recording sessions as well as a near-death experience following a heroin overdose. Motley Crue is writing more material to do a new album, the follow-up to 2008's Saints of Los Angeles.

Digital Glasses

Microsoft is working on digital glasses. This glasses will provide superior information. for example:  to bring up statistics over a wearer's view of a baseball game or details of characters in a play. The patent suggests the glasses would be attached to a wrist-worn computer. 

Many firms are working in the same project, for example: the US and some smaller firms - such as Vuzix, TTP and Explore Engage - are also working on rival systems.

Google is planning to deliver its augmented reality glasses to consumers in 2014.

LESSER FLEMINGOS

Many thousands of lesser flamingos have flocked to Tanzania's Lake Natron to begin nesting. Three - quarters of the world population of lesser flamingos live in East Africa and use lake Natron as their nesting site. East Africa's lesser flamingos are normadic and feed in a chain of alkaline soda lakes along the Rift vallery but Lake Natron is the only significant nesting site. Flamingos aren't usual if conditions at Lake Natron are suitable and if the flamingos are in good health.

Island on the huge, shallow soda lake are so inaccessible that researchers observations of breeding lesser flamingos and their numbers can often only be made from aircraf, or from sightings of young flamingos at other lakes after they have fledged.

Thirteen & Adrian Mole

Adrian Mole and Tracy, are very different examples of teenagers. Tracy is rebel, irresponsible and spoiled but, Adrian is calm and responsible. One is the opposite of the other. But they also have certain things in common, for example: They have got constructured families. They have got the same age and  I think that they have got low self-esteem, because they are influenced by others. Tracy is influed by Evie Zamora, and Adrian is influed by his girlfriend. In both cases, the problem starts with the desire to be popular.
The problem of Adrien is food, he can't eat good food because his parentsa are arguing all time and his parents don't pay attention. In return, the problem of Tracy is her low self-esteem that make others with more personality, the master. As her parents are absent, she contact whit drugs, cuts herself and is sexually promiscuous.
Is this film shocking? ''What was the most shocking for you?''
I think that this fil is very shocking and the most shocking for me was when Tracy cuts herself.

My Summer Job

This summer I began my first job. In early summer I began to work as a babysitter. The  baby's name was Pol. He was so beautiful and very good baby. He never cried, He was always  happy and laughing. I every day went walking with him. Sometimes I met friends when I was walking with the baby, and they accompanied me for a while. With this job, I made a lot of new friends and coworkers. I had a great time in this job. I couldn't bring the baby to my house because He was too  little, and his mum wanted to see him always. The baby was three month olod when I began to be his babysitter. I was always in the mother's shop with the baby.
My boss invited to my everyday at lunch and she gave me a lot of presents.
I like this summer job a lot and, if I don't find anything better, I want to work at the same place, because I know what I have do.

The Fairy's Dream

Once upon a time there was a poor family. This family was made with the two parent, two sons and a daughter.  The girl, Nadia, always had a dream: she always wanted to be a doctor but the situation in her family was very bad and she couldn't be a doctor. A night while she was dreaming a fairy appeared and the fairy said to her:  face your fears and live your dreams. Nadia with this phrase, won a lot of confiance. The next day she woke up with this confidence and went to the ambulatory to help, but the doctor said that he did not need the help of a simple girl. But she didn't surrender and  tried in other ambulaories.

The fairy appeared again and the fairy told the girl that she liked the perseverance that she had showed. For this reason the fairy granted Nadia’s dream.

the moral of this story is that many times if you want you can.

Good morning I'm Judith and now I will tell you about my life, I want to talk about:

Well, I was born in Castelló d'Empúries on 13 of March in 1996. All of my life I have lived in the same place, but my parents aren't catalan, they are from Salamanca, Sapin and sometimes when I was a child the summer and at Cristmas I went to Salamanca with my grandparents ans cousins. But now I only go to Salamanca at Christmas.

Then I will tell you my studies. I began my studies in Ruiz Amado's school. I spend 9 years there. In this school I made the majority of my friends. After I began the secondary school in the IES Castelló d'Empúries where I spend 4 years. I past all my exams with good marks and now I'm doing 1^st of batchillerat.

I have got a sister, her name is Gisela. She was born in Castelló d'Empúries too on 1 of Disember in 2004 ans now she is 7 years old. Now She is studying in Ruiz Amado's school too and she has spent 6 years there, for the moment. My sister has got brown and big eyes, a small nose and a big mouth. She has got brown and straight hair. She is always happy. She always does it in her free time. She likes watching TV, playing with dolls, playing computer games, playing the piano etc..

Well, now I'm going to talk about my hobbies in my spare time I like watching TV, surfing through internet, going to the cinema with my friends, playing the guitar... and sometimes doing some sports. The firs sport I did was swimming I used to love it but finally I left it. Then I took on taekondo and volleyball. Now I do rowing for Xon's rowing club.

I also like playing and listening to different types of music. I like many bands of music and of different styles, for example: Green Day, maroon 5, Red hot chilly peppers, the Beatles, Suis Generis... and others. I think that the music is very important in the life.

And for finally, If I could go back I think that I don't change nothing that I done.

SELF EVALUATION

• Presentation:

In my presentation I use diferent resources, for example power point, photos and images. I think that photos and imagies are really important in a presentation because you helps other students to understand better you are telling in your presentation. The images makes the presentation more fluency and entertaining.

• Body lenguage and eye contact:

I try to look at public and focus my gaze at two or three persons. It's so difficult but voice heard better if I look someone. When you looks at the public, you connect with the peolpe that they are listening you.

• Structure:

I organiced my presentation the more important topics at less and in different parts. If you have a good organization, you can understand better the presentation.

• Content:

I have introduced new information to the class abuot me. I hope that the information that I have provided has been useful for know more information about me. I think that the information was easy and comprehensible.

• Language:

 I think that the gramar and the vocabulary, it was correct and comprehensible.

• Pronuntiation and entonation:

I think my pronunciation was good, clear, comprehensible and with quite fluent.

The Sandy Hurricane

The storms of the Sandy hurricane in U.S.A. caused 106 deaths in New York and 175 deaths in the Caribbean. The U.S.A authorities tried to return to normality in the most affected areas New jersey and New York included.

The U.S.A. president, Barack Obama, declared this Saturday Rhode Island “ disaster area” and received federal funds to finance the cleaning, four days after the storms of Sandy hurricane.

Washington, Newport and Bristol may apply for funds to the U.S.A. Administration to repair damaged infrastructure and for financing projects to prevent future hurricane effects.

In the streets people helped each other by letting them use mobile telephone chargers, wi-fi, water, torches, candles or anything they wanted to use.

The majority of New York's schools opened early because is important that the children return to school. Of 1.700 schools only 65 will remain close, because of floods or because they are used as shelters.

The mayor said that they are opening new centers in the most affected areas to distribute hot food and blankets because the temperature goes down at night, and asked for caution for people who haven't electricity also asked them not to use portable heaters as a heating source because they produced toxic gases and told them to be careful whit candles as they could easily could cause a fire. 

Floods in Jerez

The rain storm caused the first floods in houses in Jerez and the town council. The first floods happened in last Wednesday morning in a rural zone of “ la Greduela” when the rain drains were blocked next to the river Guadalete and the river started to rise causing flooding to the village.

The neighbors rushed trying to save their belonging from the water entering the houses. Luckly the bad weather stopped before the water went much higher. It only raised 10 centimeters.

The neighbours fear bad weather again as their blocked drain problem has not been solved yet. Last year they had the same problem and people had to leave the rural areas so that’s why they are soangry now, the problem has happened again because there was nothing done.

Madrid Arenas

The day of Halloween, four young people die in Arenas disco because of a human avalanche, one under-age girl. Two girls died at the disco and other died in the hospital, and one girl is very serious ill were in a Madrid hospital.

They were celebrating “Thriller Music Park” this event met the first electronic figures band, led by for Steve Aoki. The organization offered a fun party with a lot of visual and musical effects. It was attended a lot of well-known DJ’s.

The party began normality until four in the morning when a lot of people running caused an human avalanche trying to go into the Arena central part and others trying to get out through the corridors. According to National Police, the avalanche was caused by someone throwing a firecrackers and flares, and people started to running because they thought it was a gun shot. Research Sources say that the police first thought the avalanche had been caused by the firework but really it couldn’t be happened 20 minutes after the explosion. So the conclusion is that people were trying to get in to see the DJ’s without a ticket and other finding that there were too many people, were trying to get out.

Dear Marco

I met you this summer but you don't know anything about me, and I don't know anithing about you. For this I think that It was good introduce myself. My name is Judith Sevillano and I'm 16 years old. I live in Castelló d'Empúries (Catalonia, Spain). I like a lot of types of music: pop, rock... now I'm into 60s music, for example: the Beatles, the Turtles, the Kings... About the sports, I like a lot football, volley and others. A few years ago I practiced volley, but now I'm into a rowing club. I like team sports. What about you? What music do you like? And sports? My town is known as the Spanish Venice, because there are a lot of marine channels. Have you heard of it? Every year, a lot of tourists come here for sail between marine channels and for visit monuments and museums. At secondary high school I'm studying a lot, Is difficult but It's Ok at the moment.
